Bitpay, the world’s largest cryptocurrency exchange, today announced it will begin its platform with the Bitcoin Exchange Market, bringing together both the cryptocurrency and fiat markets with a platform that is designed to allow both the exchanges and consumers to trade cryptocurrencies and fiat in a decentralized and secure manner.
The platform will be available on BitPay’s exchange platform for trading cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin and Ethereum.
The Bitpay platform will also allow for a decentralized marketplace for Bitcoin and Litecoin, with the Bitpay team creating a trading platform that provides liquidity and trust to its users.
BitPay said it will provide a “trustless” way for consumers to buy and sell digital currency, and to make their cryptocurrency purchases, including through exchanges.
“This is a first for Bitpay and it’s a huge step forward for crypto-currencies and fiat currencies,” said Bitpay CEO and founder Patrick Murck.
“With Bitpay’s team building a decentralized, trusted platform for cryptocurrency trading, we hope to provide an easy and secure way for customers to buy, sell, and trade digital currencies and fiat.”
Bitpay launched its platform for the first time in October and the company has said it is “actively working to provide a seamless and secure platform” for the Bitcoin and other digital currencies.
