Denver Broncos running back DeAndre Jordan will sign with the Denver Broncos, according to the team’s official Twitter account.
Jordan has spent the past year in training camp with the team.
The Broncos, who have struggled to find a consistent running back, are expected to announce his signing at a news conference Wednesday.
Washington was waived by the Green Bay Packers on Tuesday.
“Denver is a great fit for him,” Broncos general manager John Elway said.
“He is a talented back and we believe in him and we look forward to working with him.”
Jordan, who turns 30 in March, started three games for the Broncos last season.
He rushed for a career-high 4,945 yards, with 28 touchdowns and 18 interceptions.
